On March 21st, 11th and 12th grade students from the Professional Course in Computer Equipment Management participated in a study visit that combined technology, innovation, and the history of video games.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The morning was dedicated to Fablab Coimbra, where students explored prototyping equipment such as 3D printers, milling machines, and laser cutting machines. One of the highlights was the hands-on experience with laser cutting technology, allowing students to create and take home a personalized souvenir. In addition, they visited Novotecna and the Technological School, as well as CETEC \u2013 the region's Business Incubator.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the afternoon, the classes visited the Load ZX Spectrum Museum in Cantanhede, where they immersed themselves in the history of video games and computing. Highlights included seeing iconic ZX Spectrum models up close, trying out classic games, and understanding the evolution of technology from the early days of computing to the present day. The visit allowed not only direct contact with historical artifacts but also reflection on the impact of the ZX Spectrum on the development of the video game and programming industries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
