On April 1st, in Febres, the District Track and Field Championship for School Sports took place. Thirteen schools with athletics teams in their educational projects participated, enthusiastically competing for the district titles in sprints, hurdles, endurance races, relays, high jump, long jump, and shot put.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our school group participated in the competition with twenty-seven members, including athletes and referees. The students Jos\u00e9 Gon\u00e7alves, Miriam Duarte, Gabriela Faria, Diana Carapeto and Pedro Laranjeiro<\/strong> They were our referees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the end of this great journey, we achieved fifteen podium finishes, four of which were district titles. We highlight the new district champions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Diana Carapeto<\/strong> \u2013 <\/strong>in the Shot Put; Sara Carnim <\/strong>e Ana Souto<\/strong> \u2013 in the High Jump; Henrique Bicho, Afonso Nelson, Afonso \u00c2ngelo and Gon\u00e7alo Pagaimo<\/strong> \u2013 in the 4x80 m relay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Collectively, we submitted two teams to the competition. The students initiated <\/strong>they were District Runners-Up <\/strong>while the initiates <\/strong>they were consecrated District Champions.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the victory in the boys' junior category, our school group will represent Coimbra in the Central Region Athletics Championships, which will take place in Vagos on May 9th. The team will consist of the following students: Afonso \u00c2ngelo, Afonso Nelson, Bernardo Monteiro, Frederico Casc\u00e3o, Gon\u00e7alo Pagaimo, Henrique Bicho, Leonardo Cojocaru and Sandro Reis. <\/strong>It should also be noted that, individually, the students Ana Souto, Luciana Gomes and Sara Carnim <\/strong>They have also qualified to represent the Coimbra Selection in the same championships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finally, it should be mentioned that our students Leonor Cojocaru<\/strong> e Diana Carapeto<\/strong>, They will act as referees during the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
