On the day November 13th<\/strong>, the classes10th A, B1 and B2<\/strong> e <\/strong>11th A and B<\/strong> Students from Montemor-o-Velho Secondary School undertook a study visit to Lisbon as part of the subject of Physics and Chemistry A, in collaboration with the Science Club, MovSciencia<\/strong>.<\/strong> The students were accompanied by teachers of Physics and Chemistry<\/strong>, <\/strong>Biology and Geology<\/strong> e Mathematics<\/strong>, <\/strong>ensuring interdisciplinary collaboration throughout the entire activity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Despite the adverse weather conditions<\/strong>, Despite periods of heavy rain and strong winds, the visit went very well, providing moments of... good company<\/strong>, Collaborative work and connecting the content taught to reality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first stop was at Central Tagus<\/strong>, where students had the opportunity to explore the old thermoelectric complex that supplied Lisbon for much of the 20th century. Through boiler rooms, turbines and interactive modules, students deepened their knowledge of energy production, physical and chemical transformations, and technological evolution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the afternoon, the group visited the Water Museum<\/strong>, The guided tour, which included a look at the history of public water supply, collection and distribution systems, and the challenges related to the sustainable management of this essential resource, reinforced students' learning and raised their awareness of the importance of environmental preservation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Despite the bad weather, the good spirits and camaraderie between students and teachers marked the day, making the experience enriching from both an academic and social point of view. The group returned to Montemor-o-Velho with new knowledge and fond memories of a different kind of day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
