This work was carried out by students from 6th grade A, 6th grade B, 8th grade A and 8th grade B, in the Technological Education subject at the EB 2.3 Dr. Jos\u00e9 dos Santos Bessa school.
The project began by using a hot iron to make four holes in the bottle, two on each side, so that the barbecue sticks could be inserted through these holes. At this stage, it was important that the holes were aligned and low so that the bottle wouldn't drag on the ground when the wheels were attached. Next, we attached the balloon to a straw using tape and punched holes in the four PET bottle caps, placing them on the sticks to form the wheels of the cart. We tested to see if the cart moved freely. Then we attached the tube to the top of the bottle, so that part of the tube would extend beyond the back of the bottle. Finally, we blew into the tube to fill the balloon with air and covered it with our finger. When we released our finger from the tube, the cart started moving.

In the physical world, the laws governing motion are called Newton's Laws (in honor of the British physicist Isaac Newton). Newton's third law, also called the Principle of Action and Reaction, states that: "For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.".
Therefore, forces always occur in pairs; that is, for every action there will always be a corresponding reaction. Thus, when the airflow opens, the balloon pushes the air backward, and this, in turn, pushes the balloon forward.
