
Students from Arazede Elementary School participating in the Regional Table Tennis Championship.
The Regional School Sports Table Tennis Championship took place on May 9th at the Vagos Municipal Pavilion.
The competition involved 80 student-players, 26 student-referees, and 24 teachers from the districts of Aveiro, Castelo Branco, Coimbra, Guarda, Leiria, and Viseu.
The delegation from the Coimbra district was composed of 4 teachers and 19 students from EB de Arazede (6), EB de Condeixa (5), EB João de Barros (4), EBS de Poiares (2), EBS Quinta das Flores (1) and ES de Tábua (1).
Professor Fernando Torres, responsible for the Table Tennis team at Arazede Elementary School, was accompanied by 2 student referees (Bruna Torres and Matias Torres, both from 6th grade A), student player Tatiana Nogueira, from 7th grade A, who, despite belonging to the Under-12 category, competed in the Under-14 category, and 3 student players from the Under-14 Boys category (Jaime Marques and Matias Mendes, both from 9th grade A, and Tomás Marques, from 9th grade B), who obtained very meritorious results, considering the high level that the opponents presented in the competition, including some of the best federated players in the national ranking.

Jaime Marques – 9th place in the Beginners category
Matias Mendes – 13th place in the Beginners category
Tomás Marques – 17th place in the Beginners category
