The Psychology and Guidance Service (SPO) of the Montemor-o-Velho School Group is a specialized educational support structure that accompanies students throughout their school career. Its main objective is to promote the well-being, personal, social and academic development of students.
The SPO operates in several areas, namely:
Psychological and psycho-pedagogical support to the students;
Collaboration with teachers and parents/guardians in managing situations that affect student performance or well-being;
School and vocational guidance, helping students make decisions regarding their educational and professional path;
Promoting social and emotional skills, through individual or group actions;
Intervention in crisis situations or situations of psychological risk..
The SPO is intended for all students in the Group, as well as to parents/guardians, teachers and operational assistants, whenever their support is justified.
Support can be requested:
Directly by the students;
At the request of the parents/guardians;
As indicated by teachers or class directors.
