District Children's Championship

 On May 7th, in Febres, the District Track and Field Championship for the Under-12 category took place. Thirteen schools with athletics teams in their educational projects participated, enthusiastically competing for the district titles in sprints, hurdles, endurance races and relays, high jump, long jump, and shot put.

Our group was represented in the competition by seventeen excellent participants who worked very hard in representing our teams.

At the end of this great journey, we achieved nine podium finishes, three of which correspond to district titles. We highlight the new district champions:

Rodrigo Ramos – in the long jump; Erica Mendes e Weverton Silva – in the Shot Put.

Other honorable mentions:

– Rodrigo Ramos – runner-up in the high jump;

– Florêncio Manjate – 3rd place in Shot Put;

– Gabriela Faria – runner-up in the endurance race;

– José Azevedo – runner-up in the sprint and 3rd place in the hurdles;

– Tomás Machado, Rodrigo Ramos, Simão Monteiro and José Azevedo – 3rd place in the 4x60m relay.

Collectively, we conquered the district title through the team of Boys' children's clothing comprised of the students:

Francisco Santos and Vasco Cadima from class D5B, Florêncio Manjate, José Cardoso and Rodrigo Ramos from class D6A, Simão Monteiro, Tomás Machado and Weverton Silva from class D7A and José Azevedo from class D7B.
