Celebration of "World Cancer Day"“

On February 5th, an awareness-raising activity was held for the 9th grade classes of the Carapinheira EB 2 3 school, led by Dr. Cidália Gonçalves, head of the Health Education Department of the Coimbra branch of the Portuguese League Against Cancer, Ms. Sandra, a volunteer from the Portuguese League Against Cancer, and pharmacists from the Dias e Amaral Pharmacy in Arazede, Dr. Beatriz Garrote and Dr. Raquel Borges. The main objectives of this session were to mark World Cancer Day (February 4th), to publicize the actions and values of the Portuguese League Against Cancer, to promote active citizenship, and to encourage volunteering.

At the end of the session, the students created a poster with words expressing the emotions evoked by the topic, which was displayed in the school's multipurpose room. It is worth highlighting the positive way in which the topic was approached and the active participation of the students in creating the poster.
