Universal Children's Rights Day
Although a little late (it's never too late to share good news!), we want to report on the activity we carried out at the Dr. José Dos Santos Bessa Primary and Secondary School on November 20th, as part of the celebration of Universal Children's Rights Day.
In fact, our intention was to celebrate National Pajama Day simply by encouraging students to come to school dressed in pajamas. However, teacher Marta Paiva explained the purpose of this celebration to us, analyzed the Declaration of the Rights of the Child with us and how these rights are constantly violated, and encouraged us to develop a charitable action to help other children.
Thus, in a gesture of solidarity, we invited the students to come to school in their pajamas; we created a mural in the multipurpose room entitled "To you, child, I wish...", in which everyone was asked to write their wishes for children living in institutions or foster families, and finally, we asked the students to bring used clothing, but in good condition, to be donated to institutions.

We were thrilled to see the boxes filling up, and we're certain the clothes are being put to good use again! We felt immense joy in carrying out this initiative, and we believe that we, as young people, can make a difference if we so desire and commit ourselves!
