Multidisciplinary Team for Inclusive Education Support (EMAEI)
The Multidisciplinary Team for Inclusive Education Support (EMAEI) of the Montemor-o-Velho School Group plays an essential role in promoting a school for all, contributing to ensuring that each student has access to the conditions necessary for their personal, academic and social development.
EMAEI is responsible for identifying, proposing, and monitoring the learning and inclusion support measures that best suit the needs of each child or young person, working collaboratively and in coordination with all stakeholders in the educational process.
This team includes permanent elements, familiar with the reality and organization of the Group, and variable elements, which includes professionals directly involved with students and their parents or guardians.
Their main responsibilities include:
To support the implementation of inclusive teaching practices in schools;
Monitor the effectiveness of the support measures implemented;
To collaborate in the operation of the Learning Support Center;
To advise teachers in defining and adjusting educational responses;
To promote awareness-raising activities within the educational community, with a view to building a more equitable and inclusive school.

EMAEI thus contributes to ensuring that the Group's mission, values, and strategies are aligned with the principles of inclusive education, guaranteeing that no one is left behind in their school journey.
