Training Session: The Challenges in Cycle Transition
On the day July 8, 2025, It took place in the Library room at the headquarters of the Montemor-o-Velho School Group, the Information/Awareness Campaign “The Challenges in the Transition Between Cycles: From Preschool to the 1st Cycle”, to parents and/or guardians, with the aim of clarifying any doubts, as well as listening to your concerns, regarding this transition/change phase.
The transition from preschool to the first cycle of primary school is a significant milestone in the life of any child/student and, of course, also for parents/guardians. It is a phase of discovery, of new experiences, but at the same time it brings with it other responsibilities and learning opportunities. Entering this cycle can be a stage of some anxiety for children/students and their families. Carrying out these types of actions helps to reassure parents (guardians) and inform them about possible strategies to adopt for a full and safe adaptation/integration into new environments for their children. In this sense, we will be promoting the biopsychosocial balance of children and adults, as well as promoting the notion (meaning) of inclusive education.
This activity was developed and carried out by Psychology and Guidance Services (SPO), in conjunction with Multidisciplinary Team for Inclusive Education Support – EMAEI And the final result was very positive, serving as motivation for carrying out similar actions in the future.
