European Quality Assurance Reference Framework for Vocational Education and Training
The European Quality Assurance Reference Framework for Vocational Education and Training – EQAVET is an instrument adopted by the Member States of the European Union that allows them to document, develop, monitor, evaluate and improve the efficiency of Vocational Education and Training (VET) provision and the quality of management practices.
The Montemor-o-Velho School Group had its quality of Vocational Education, which it offers every year to a large number of trainees, recognized on March 24th.
The audit took place on February 8th and was the culmination of a process that originated from the recommendation of the European Parliament and the European Council that established EQAVET (European Quality Assurance Reference Framework for Vocational Education and Training).
This framework, which is based on strong coordination between the different stakeholders and on planning, implementation, monitoring and review with a view to continuously improving the efficiency of the offer, has been in place in this School Group since 2019 and ended up involving the entire educational community and external partners, from employers, social partners and host entities for internships that take place throughout the three years of student training.
“With the aim of helping Vocational Education and Training providers to promote and monitor the continuous improvement of their systems, based on common European references, the entire alignment process with EQAVET ended up being an opportunity for a closer relationship between the school and the partners who collaborate with it in the vocational training and education provided here,” emphasizes Ana Tereza Redondo, coordinator of the team that led the entire application process.
This Quality Assurance Seal, awarded by ANQEP (National Agency for Qualification and Vocational Education) for a period of three years, reinforces the commitment of the various agents involved to continue working to guarantee quality training for students, parents/guardians, and other partners who, in fact, have already contributed significantly to this recognition.
The Head of the School Group welcomes the recognition of the work carried out and believes that this certification will contribute to maintaining a high level of attention given to each student.
