Articulation project for 4th and 5th grades – EB 2 3 of Carapinheira
Within the scope of the project linking the 1st cycle and included in the 5th grade's DAC (Curricular Activities and Learning), alluding to the theme "The 500 years of Camões" and the Portuguese Discoveries, the Mathematics and Visual/Technological Education teachers and 5th grade students welcomed the 4th grade students on Wednesday, June 11th, at the Dr. José dos Santos Bessa Basic School, Carapinheira.
Inspired by the Chinese geometric puzzle Tangram, the students had the opportunity to explore geometric shapes, their characteristics and properties, under the guidance of the 5th grade students, who acted as monitors. The activities culminated in the construction of boats using the Tangram pieces, with which a panel alluding to the sea was created, representing the theme being explored.
There was also a shared snack, encouraging interaction among the students, and taking the opportunity to familiarize the 4th-grade students with the school spaces they will be using in the next school year.
