The school group celebrates National Scientific Culture Day.
On November 24th, the School Group celebrated National Scientific Culture Day with exhibitions at the Basic Schools of Pereira, Carapinheira, Arazede and Montemor-o-Velho, as well as at the Secondary School of Montemor-o-Velho.
The initiative was spearheaded by the Physics, Chemistry, and Science disciplinary group.
The exhibition was organized in collaboration with Clube MoVSciencia, which supported the creation, organization, and promotion of the various displays.
This year's exhibitions stand out for their creativity and diversity of themes: from constellations reminiscent of Christmas, represented in star maps, to chemical messages written with symbols from the Periodic Table, geological landscapes, natural ecosystems, and even the contribution of science and technology to the knowledge of the human body through images, which have aroused great interest among visitors. Models of the planets of the Solar System were also present, allowing students to better understand the scale, characteristics, and organization of our planetary system. There was also space for a poster dedicated to Space Exploration technologies and the discovery of chemical elements and compounds present in everyday life. All the works, full of color and light, were created by students in the 3rd cycle of basic education! The participating teachers emphasize that this initiative aims to "stimulate curiosity, value scientific knowledge, and involve the entire educational community in the celebration of science.".
The exhibitions will be on display at various locations and schools until the end of next week, inviting students, families, and visitors to explore and celebrate the joy of learning. Science has come to life in all the schools within the school district – and everyone is invited to discover it!
