School Sports – 3rd District Gymnastics Meeting 

On April 28, 2026, the Pereira Integrated Basic School hosted the 3rd Artistic Gymnastics, Trampolines and Acrobatics Meeting, aimed at elementary and advanced levels of School Sports. The initiative brought together around 160 participants, including gymnasts and judges, from the Tábua Secondary School, the Taveiro Basic School No. 2 – Coimbra Oeste Group and the Montemor-o-Velho School Group.

Our school group was represented by two team groups, from the Pereira Integrated Basic School and the Montemor-o-Velho Basic and Secondary School, who participated with great enthusiasm in the different aspects of the competition.

Throughout the event, the students' excellent performance was evident, marked by high levels of commitment, dedication, and interest in the activity. The gymnasts demonstrated solid technical skills, as well as a responsible, resilient, and committed attitude, reflecting the continuous work developed throughout the school year by teachers Carla Aguilar and Sofia Correia.

Also noteworthy is the strong interaction between all participants, in an environment of sharing, cooperation, and healthy conviviality. The school community was enthusiastically present, supporting the gymnasts throughout the various events, contributing to a motivating and enriching atmosphere. Some parents also attended the event, expressing their satisfaction and pride in their children's performance.

It is also important to highlight that moments like this play a fundamental role in the integral development of children and young people, promoting not only physical and technical skills, but also essential values such as respect, responsibility, perseverance and teamwork.

This meeting was thus marked by the quality of the presentations and the strong involvement of the entire educational community, constituting a very positive experience for all participants.

On May 21st (throughout the day), the District Gymnastics Final will be held for the advanced level only, with our school group hosting the event. It will take place at the Montemor-o-Velho Municipal Pavilion.
