Young Health Ambassadors in the Spotlight

Participation of Young Health Ambassadors from the Group in the 1st International Nursing Congress of the ULS of Baixo Mondego

On October 22nd, 23rd and 24th, the 1st International Nursing Congress of the ULS of Baixo Mondego took place at the Montemor-o-Velho Cultural Forum. It brought together national and international health professionals, researchers and specialists under the theme "(Re)Building Knowledge, Valuing the Profession".

The participation of the Young Health Ambassadors from the municipality of Montemor-o-Velho in the session dedicated to health literacy deserves special mention. Their presence gave voice to the contribution of young people in promoting health and sharing information with their peers.

Two of the ambassadors present were students Camila Silva and Susi Monteiro, 12th grade students from Montemor-o-velho Secondary School, who are participating in this project for the second year.

In a panel that included TVI journalist José Alberto Carvalho, they presented their experience as well as the results obtained.

These initiatives and projects are very important because they allow for new experiences and the development of our students' skills.
