Kids' Athletics Day 2026 in Montemor-o-Velho

The Mondego Athletics School / ACDRS of Quinhendros, in partnership with the Montemor-o-Velho City Council and the Portuguese Athletics Federation, is promoting the celebration of Kids' Athletics Day 2026, a global initiative by World Athletics aimed at children 6 to 14 years old.

The event takes place on the day May 31, 2026, Sunday, starting at 10:00, in Montemor-o-Velho Athletics Track, participation free.

Kids' Athletics adapts the practice of athletics to younger ages through activities such as running, jumping, throwing, and relays, promoting movement, fun, inclusion, and healthy lifestyle habits.

In addition to activities related to athletics, there will also be a space dedicated to... Traditional Portuguese Games, inviting parents, grandparents and friends to join the children in a moment of sharing between generations.

Gifts related to the event will also be offered, such as caps, medals, diplomas, and other souvenirs.
