Flavors of the World
Between February 23rd and March 3rd, students at the Montemor-o-Velho School Group will have different menus in the cafeterias of the various schools that make up the Group, which we call "Flavors of the World".
This activity is part of the celebration of Portuguese Geography Day (February 25th), which the Economic-Social and Management subject area will be carrying out. This pedagogical initiative is particularly relevant when articulated with the Essential Learning Objectives of Geography, History, and Citizenship and Development in the 8th grade, as it promotes meaningful learning, bringing students closer to reality through practical, cultural, and social experiences. Furthermore, it also promotes an understanding of the world's cultural and territorial diversity, fosters the appreciation of interculturality, respect for differences, and attitudes of tolerance, inclusion, and empathy, valuing cultures present in the school community.
This initiative is also part of the educational project of the Montemor-o-Velho School Group, which presents itself as a "school without walls, open to the community and the world".
