
Visit to the LACAM Museum
As part of the AEM's annual activity plan, the 8th grade students from the EB,2.3 Dr. José dos Santos Bessa school, in the subject of Technological Education, on May 26th, walked to the center of the village of Carapinheira to visit the LACAM museum – League of Friends of the Mondego Fields, where they "traveled through time" exploring the magnificent collection on display, which depicts objects representative of the traditional lives and crafts of the 1950s and 60s of the 20th century.
The ethnographic collection relates to agriculture (land preparation, cultivation and harvesting); river fishing; food; spinning; transport; traditional crafts (shoemaker, carpenter, cooperage, stonemason, blacksmith); clothing (work, festive and traditional); wine; olive oil; everyday items; lighting and toys, as well as a replica of a classroom from the Estado Novo regime.
