International Day of the Girl
AEMOV marks International Day of the Girl Child with the activity "My dream is..."«
AEMOV, a school cluster integrated into the UNESCO Associated Schools Network, celebrated the International Day of the Girl Child with the activity "My dream is...", which included the participation of students and teaching and non-teaching staff from the school.
The initiative aimed to give voice to girls and women in the educational community, valuing their dreams, desires, and aspirations for the future. Through this activity, it also sought to raise awareness of the importance of equal opportunities, respect for girls' rights, and building a more just and inclusive society.
Because not all girls are free, not all have the opportunity to dream, and not all can choose their future. In many parts of the world, thousands of girls continue to face discrimination, violence, poverty, and lack of access to education, seeing their rights and aspirations limited. Giving visibility to this reality is essential to remember that dreaming should be a right for all girls, regardless of where they are born or the circumstances in which they live.
By promoting this initiative, AEMOV reinforces its commitment to UNESCO values, namely equality, inclusion, respect for human rights and education for citizenship, encouraging the educational community to reflect on the role of each individual in building a world where all girls can grow up in freedom, live with dignity and realize their dreams.
All girls have the right to dream!
