Geometry in Art
The exhibition “The Canon of Space: Where the Mathematics of the Map Meets the Canvas” is now open to the public! This initiative presents works developed by students in the 11th grades E and F, from the Computer Equipment Management Technician (GEI) and Sports Technician courses.
Within the OP9 module: Geometric Patterns, under the guidance of lecturer Margarida Mateus and with the collaboration of lecturer Maria Fernanda Silva, the students explored the boundary between logical rigor and creative expression.
Exhibition highlights:
- Interpretations of the Four Color Theorem.
- Visual dialogues with the works of masters such as Escher, Van Gogh, Gaudí and Almada Negreiros.
Come and discover how our Vocational Course students apply geometry to reinterpret the world!
