Pink October 2026

Pink October 2026: a gesture of solidarity for health.

The Montemor-o-Velho School Group, through its Health Education and Promotion Project Team (PES), is joining the initiative. «"Pink October 2026"», responding to the challenge launched by Central Regional Branch of the Portuguese League Against Cancer.

The initiative, promoted by the Portuguese League Against Cancer, representing EUROPA DONNA — the European Coalition Against Breast Cancer — and through the "Winning and Living" Movement, aims to strengthen health literacy and raise awareness in the school community about the importance of healthy lifestyles, prevention, and early diagnosis of breast cancer, particularly through screening. It also intends to disseminate information and forms of support for women and their families.

To mark this cause, the PES Team challenges the entire educational community to Wearing a pink item of clothing or accessory on October 15th. Students, teachers, specialized technicians, technical and operational assistants, parents and guardians are invited to participate in this symbolic gesture of awareness and solidarity.

This action is part of the Group's commitment to health education, promoting greater awareness of prevention and the adoption of behaviors that favor individual and collective well-being.

On October 15th, let's wear pink! We're counting on everyone. Together, we build solidarity!
