Talent and Success in School Swimming

Regional Swimming Championships for the Beginners, Youth and Junior age groups, which took place in Coimbra on April 29th.

The school group was represented by student Santiago Fonseca, who achieved 3rd place in the 100m Individual Medley event and also participated in the 50m Breaststroke event. 

Over the past few years, Santiago has participated in various competitions in this sport, representing AEMOV with distinction. This was his last year of participation, as he is a 12th-grade student, and we extend our sincere thanks for his upright attitude and continued dedication.

For the youngest age group, Under-12s B, the District Championship for this sport took place on May 20th in Penacova. Our school group was represented by a delegation of seven students, all with excellent performances, with particular emphasis on..., student Iris Henriques, who achieved 1st place in the 50-meter backstroke event. e Xavier Costa, 3rd place in the 25-meter backstroke.

The team, made up of students Iris Henriques, Inês Cortesão, Xavier Costa and Gonçalo Reis, also achieved 1st place in the mixed 4x25 meter freestyle relay.
