The challenges in the Cycle Transition

Awareness-raising campaign for parents and/or guardians. 

“"Challenges in the Transition Between Cycles: From Preschool to the 1st Cycle"”

On the day May 20, 2026, by 5pm, it took place, in School Library of Montemor-o-Velho School Group, one Awareness Campaign addressed to parents and/or guardians, subordinate to the theme “"The challenges in the transition between cycles: from preschool to the 1st cycle.".

The initiative was driven by Psychology and Guidance Services (SPO), in partnership with Multidisciplinary Team for Inclusive Education Support (EMAEI), providing a space for sharing, reflection and clarification on the main challenges associated with entering the 1st Cycle of Basic Education.

During the session, strategies to support children during this transition period were discussed, highlighting the importance of collaboration between school and family in promoting emotional well-being, school adaptation, and the development of essential skills for a positive educational journey.
